Our Story

The story of Destination Apparel

Arlene and her partner kicked off Destination Apparel after Destination Racing got started about 10 years back with racing teams out of America. Destination Racing started to bring racing teams to New Zealand bring a few famous drivers to New Zealand, Including Todd Leduc (two times Monster Jam World Finals Champion), but I thought, "Why not get into clothing?"

So, Destination Apparel was born. We tossed around a few ideas, even considered buying an existing brand, but ultimately decided to do our own thing.

Arlene dedicated a whole year to learning the ropes with the machines, testing everything she could to nail top-notch quality—not just with the T-shirts and Hoodies, but also perfecting the prints themselves.

We soon realised that heaps of other racing teams were in need of quality gear too. Our first big project was for Hodgson Motorsports, who ran a TQ (kind of like a mini Midget). They wanted some slick apparel to raise funds for their team.

We still work with a few race teams, but we’ve branched out to big names like Harcourts, Tradies, and the NZ Food Show.

We’ve just invested in some top-of-the-line machines to keep pushing our quality to the next level.

Generally, printing takes up to 5 working days from confirmed payment, plus shipping time, which can take 2 to 3 days.

We print on high-quality cotton t-shirts, singlets, hoodies, and sweatshirts. But we can also print onto all different things, including bags, pillowcases, cushion covers, aprons, caps, and more, on request. If you have something you would like printed on that is not in our product list, just let us know and we can find it for you.

Yes, this can be done depending on the item, generally, it comes down to the material of the item in question. If you have an item you want printed on, please contact us and we can discuss to make sure we are able to print onto this for you without damaging the item in question.

Yes, you can. Follow the steps in the builder to create your own. You can add logos, photos and more. The best file types are high quality .png & .jpg, but others will work as well.

Yes, there is no minimum order. We can do a one-off item or a run of an item with no set-up fee.

Yes, we will never use your design for any other purpose except your print. We will never sell it to anyone else. You retain the IP.
